Another really enjoyable stay at Byre Cottage. MAde the most of our Historic Houses Membership - Wallington House, Hutton in the Forest, Dalemains, Auckland Castle and Brancepeth castle. Staying for the 2 weeks meant we could attend the "Kynren" night and Pyrotechnic Show - Amazing! ---------------- Jane and Steve, Aug 2023

We've had a lovely time here at Weardale helping our friends get ready for the Weardale Show. We also had time to visit Killhope Wheel - highly recommended and free (although donations are welcomed) and Locomotion in Shildon. Thank you for such a fantastic week in your lovely cottage. The scenery is beautiful and so peaceful. The cottage was very warm and comfortable. We visited many place including Killhope Mining Museum,. It was amazing and free! ...... A trip to Raby Castle was also well worth a visit.
